Reflections of Italy

Reflections of Italy

April 17 — April 26, 2024

Welcome to Italy, a land rich in history, culture, art, and romance. On this journey, you’ll explore medieval palaces and Gothic cathedrals, marvel at the work of Michelangelo, indulge in regional delicacies and fine Italian wines, drift through canals by gondola, and view the studios of renowned designers and craftspeople.

To top it all off, you’ll share these experiences with friends who have also served in public education and share your interests!

Highlights include: Rome, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, Assisi, Perugia, Cortona, Florence, Michelangelo’s David, Chianti Winery & Cooking Class, Venice, Murano Island, Milan

Tour difficulty: The overall activity level of this tour is a level 3. This means you’re an on-the-go traveler. You don’t want to miss a thing, so walking and standing for longer periods of time (1-2 hours) isn’t a big deal. You can navigate hills and uneven ground, climb into various modes of transportation, and could possibly anticipate changes in elevation. You can expect some longer days balanced with free-time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. On this tour, some of the most unique sightseeing can mean accessing locations that restrict motor coaches, especially in historic areas such as Rome, Venice and Florence which requires minimum 2.5 miles of walking over flat but cobblestoned streets with narrow sidewalks. For your comfort, we recommend bringing walking shoes.
