MPSERS TruHearing Benefit Enhancement: New Options Starting July 1, 2026
Good news! If you are enrolled in a Blue Cross PPO plan (Medicare or non-Medicare), your TruHearing hearing aid benefits are getting an upgrade as of July 1, 2026. Here’s what you need to know.
New coverage options as of July 1, 2026
Option 1: TruHearing Brand Hearing Aids
You pay directly for hearing aids through TruHearing:
- Advanced aids: $499 per aid
- Premium aids: $799 per aid
Option 2: TruHearing Flexible Benefit
Use a $700 allowance per ear toward hearing aids from these trusted brands*: Oticon, ReSound, Phonak, Signia, Starkey, Widex
*You must work with a TruHearing provider to access additional brands.

This applies to those with Blue Cross PPO (Medicare or non-Medicare) and eligible dependents (spouses and other family members)
This does NOT apply to those with:
- Priority Health plans
- HAP plans
