MARSP is closed for the holiday. We will resume regular office hours on Monday, January 5, 2026.
The Washtenaw County chapter (commonly called WARSP) is located in southeastern Michigan and has ~650 members. WARSP is a nonpartisan advocate for the economic and legislative welfare of members.
WARSP holds 4 luncheon meetings per year at Weber’s Inn in Ann Arbor. Accompanying programs include a Candidates Forum, Lunch with a Legislator, and speakers on protecting public school pensions. Recent programs have also highlighted communicating with people with memory loss, trails in Washtenaw parks, dealing with COVID-19, Bridge Michigan news source, a talk on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and election security and voting improvements.
Board of Directors meetings are held before each program luncheon and by Zoom at five other times throughout the year. Board meetings are open to all members.
Connections, WARSP’s bi-annual newsletter, is mailed and emailed to each member. WARSP also emails special announcements to members as needed.
WARSP supports local literacy programs and DonorsChoose projects by local teachers in MPSERS-participating schools.
One-year chapter membership = $10.00
