SOUTHEAST GENESEE COUNTY

The Southeast Genesee Chapter of MARSP has approximately 420 members and is located eastern Michigan.  The chapter meets four times a year.  The business meetings are followed by lunch for those who wish to stay (and most do).  We have speakers in September and October and, sometimes, in December and May.  Our December meeting involves a presentation to Meals on Wheels.  Members donate gifts and/or money for gifts to those in the program. Over 1,000 gifts are presented each year. Holiday music is presented by various groups each year. Our May meeting is the State Conference.

Other projects throughout the year include discount coupons for military families; collection and distribution of unused prescription medications; grants to school employees for special projects; a grant to Family Promise of Genesee County for support of homeless families; and miscellaneous grants to various local charities.
