Chapter Recognition Program

Please complete by January 30th of each year.

The local chapter president should complete the following form based on the chapter’s activity during the previous membership year (July-June).

Purposes of this program:

  • To encourage local chapters to support the programs and goals of MARSP.
  • To recognize those chapters that are most successful in supporting and carrying out those programs and goals.
  • To recognize and encourage the strengths of the local chapter.
  • To recognize those chapters that are able to successfully maintain contributing programs within the local community. 

Chapters that receive sufficient points will be presented with a certificate of merit. Levels of recognition:

Chapters within Michigan

  • Gold Seal 313/895 points (35%) 

  • Silver Seal  224/895 points (25%)

  • Bronze Seal 134/895 points (15%)

Out-of-state chapters

  • Gold Seal: 245/700 points (35%)
  • Silver Seal: 175/700 points (25%)
  • Bronze Seal: 105/700 points (15%)

Additional points (completed by MARSP office):

  • Percentage of potential members belonged to local chapter: 10 – 40 points
  • Percentage of potential members belonged to MARSP: 10 – 40 points
  • Membership increased over the previous year of Michigan school pension recipients: 50 points
